Mercury Motorsport Rally Stages - Ingliston
17 Ian Forgan / Kathryn Forgan / Ford Escort RS / class 4.
Finished 17th overall after carb linkage fell apart on SS6, bodged it together to get out of the stage, but took a maximum, spoiled chance of a decent result.
46 Chris McCallum / Peter McCallum / Ford Escort Mk2 / class 4
Finished 20th overall
52 David Cranston / Graeme Hawkes / Opel Astra / class 4
We had a few problems with tyres, body roll and gear linkages but made it to the end and learned a bit about the value of bothering your arse to set up the car before an event. We could have finished higher but 29 is my favourite number so sandbagged a bit to drop down the rankings. Have attached a couple of ''action shots'' - thanks to AML for them.
David Cranston
Finished 29th Overall
54 Michelle Rugg / Dougie Rugg / Ford Fiesta / Class 2
Finished 33rd and 5th in class.
Ingilston being my first rally I was naturally Nervous! After a couple of stages I was fine and the adreneline had kicked in, Saturday was fun, dry and we had no problems with the car so all was well. On Sunday it was more of a challenge wet and muddy conditions so I was sliding which was Ace.
But as the day came to a close on the second last stage sliding was the least of my problems I lost my brakes so dad and I had to make do with the handbrake. But I managed and got a finish and had a really good weekend!! Thanks to all who were and got involved on the day!! Now Looking forward to Crail in November!! Yeehaa!

10 Ross Fernie / John Young / Ford Escort Cosworth / class 5
