GMSC at Perth Motorsport Show
The GMSC stand at the Perth Motorsport Show was busy most of the day, with a few new members, some very old members, and a steady stream of Mr and Mrs J. Public and the weans. We took the pictures when it was quiet, it was busier than it looks.
On our patch we had Stuart Baillie''s Subaru, the Wilson''s autotest mini special, and Fergus Gray''s 206 rally car.
Rally-Photo.com lent us some stunning photographs from the Scottish, British and World Rally Championships, and we were showing a dvd of the Kingdom 2008 courtesy of Jim Barclay Rally Video, with an array of beautifully detailed model rally cars, and a heap of sweeties for the smaller visitors. Yeah, OK, we ate some too.
No, no more sweeties unless you join up.
Coast to coast for the Meningitis Trust
We would like to congratulate GMSC member Gordon Milne - the one who thinks you can rally an Audi TT - who contracted meningitis and was in a coma in 2007.
Last weekend Gordon and two friends tackled a coast to coast cycle ride from the Irish Sea to the North sea, over 140 miles of steep and winding hill roads.
Despite an accident in which one of the team, Alan, suffered a broken arm, Gordon and Ally finished to raise £1500.00 for the Meningitis Trust.
It is not too late to make a
small donation online for a worthy cause - and the taxman automatically gives a bit extra with Gift Aid! Surely you won''t miss the chance to get something out of the Revenue?
