SS1 - Very wet and slippy, good stage layout, entrance and exit to chicanes very loose, gravel tyres on rear. 8.23
SS2 - Drying out, no problems. 7.54
SS3 - Dry, changed tyres to tarmac tyres all-round, half spin on a 90 left running along the verge narrowly missing two large rocks 6.51
SS4 - No problems 6.49
SS5 - Great stage layout, really enjoyed this one, starting to really throw the car about, caught a 206 at the first merge sat behind him for about 1mile but too eager to get by him at a hairpin left ran wide and scattered some tyres lost around 3sec. 8.07
SS6 - Really going for it now, got to the merge before the 206 this time, Long straight up by the farm had a chicane consisting of a row of tyres across the runway and cars
had to go slightly off the runway which resulted in a hole appearing on the edge, hit the power just as we hit the hole which resulted in breaking a shaft, limped the rest of the way round losing around 1min. 9.03
Back at service had 1 hour to remove broken shaft but couldn''t get diff out of casing, shaft had broke about 4 inch from the end, tried all we could but could not remove broken end from diff, game over.
Had a great day, weather could have been better wet early on but then freezing wind all day.
Think we could have had a trophy if there was one for whose canopy flew the furthest down the field at the back of service, (At least we were good at something)
