Adult Membership £10
Most people only want to pay for one adult member.
Just fill in the name box and the membership number (if known) for a renewal, and click the Add To Cart button.
A Shopping Cart page will open in a new tab or a new window (depending on your browser).
Check the details in the Shopping Cart, and if they are OK, click Proceed To Checkout.
You enter your address and email on the Checkout page.
You can get back from the Shopping Cart to this page by clicking Continue Shopping.
If you want to pay for two or more adult members at the same address but not a couple - father and son, or brothers maybe - type the first name in the box and click add to cart, then type the next name in the box and click add to cart again. Take care not to click twice with the same name!
Couple Memberships £12
To pay for a couple, enter the first name, then the spouse/partner name, and click the Couple Add To Cart button.
A Shopping Cart page will open in a new tab or a new window (depending on your browser).
Check the details in the Shopping Cart, and if they are OK, click Proceed To Checkout.
You enter your address and email on the Checkout page.
You can get back from the Shopping Cart to this page by clicking Continue Shopping.
If you want to pay for another member at the same address - for example a child under 17, or another adult - go to the Junior Membership or Adult Membership section, and type in the name, then click add to cart.
When you have added all the names you need, check the shopping cart carefully, and when you are happy, click Proceed To Checkout.
Junior Membership (16 or under) £2
To pay for a junior (under 17) fill in the junior name and click the Add To Cart button beside it.
To pay for another junior member, change the name and click Add To Cart again. Take care not to click twice with the same name!
Check that you have the right name(s) and membership type(s) in the Shopping Cart.
You can remove an item from the Shopping Cart by ticking the Remove box, then clicking Update Cart.
When you are satisfied with the items in the cart, click the Proceed To Checkout button on the Shopping Cart.
Secure Payments Online.
You can pay online on our secure PayPal checkout page.
If you already have a PayPal account it will be quicker and easier, but if you do not have a PayPal account you can still pay with your credit or debit card. You will be given the opportunity to open a PayPal account, but this is optional.

GMSC will never see your card or account details - we see only your name and address, and email address.
About the Shopping Cart
The first time you click an Add To Cart button, a Shopping Cart page will open in a new tab or a new window (depending on your browser).
The Shopping Cart is a secure PayPal page - you can see it is secure because the address starts https, the padlock security symbol is displayed, and, if you are using Internet Explorer 7, the address window turns green.
You can check the details in the Shopping Cart, make sure you typed the name right, check that you have not added the same name twice - you would see a quantity of 2 against that name.
Probably you only want one membership, and if the details in the cart are correct, you can click Proceed To Checkout at that point.
If you want more than one membership - for instance a father and son, two brothers, or a couple with children - don't checkout after the first one, you can add all the memberships to the cart then checkout once for the total.
If you want to add another person, go back to the membership page (you can click the Continue Shopping button in the cart) and add another item - probably another adult member or a junior member - and click Add To Cart.
Each time you click Add To Cart, it updates the Shopping Cart window.
You can remove an item from the Shopping Cart by ticking the Remove box, then clicking Update Cart.
You can change the quantity of an item in the shopping cart - for example, maybe you clicked Add to Cart twice for the same name and now the quantity is 2 and the cost is doubled - and click Update Cart to recalculate.
When you are satisfied that the shopping cart page shows the right names and the right type of membership - adult, junior - click the Proceed To Checkout button on the Shopping Cart.
By the way, if you closed the Shopping Cart window you can get it back by clicking the View Cart button on the GMSC Membership Payments page.

About PayPal Checkout.
When you click Proceed to Checkout, you go to a secure PayPal page - you can see it is secure because the address starts https, the padlock security symbol is displayed, and, if you are using Internet Explorer 7, the address window turns green.
If you already have a PayPal account, you sign in with your email address and password, and you know the procedure from there.
If you do not have a PayPal account, you have a choice,
you can either open an account right now,
or else you can pay with a credit or debit card without ever opening a PayPal account.
To open a PayPal account:
Look for the SignUp link and click it.
You will be offered the choice of three types of account, Personal, Premier or Business.
The right choice for most people is Personal, so click that button and follow instructions from there.
To pay by card without opening a PayPal account:
At the bottom left on the PayPal page, you will see "Don't have a PayPal account?" just above the row of Visa and Mastercard and other card images.
Click the Continue link.
You will be taken to another PayPal page where you enter your name and card details to pay the bill, without opening an account.
Timeouts: If you leave the Shopping Cart or Checkout page alone for a while, the page will time out, and you can't complete your business.
No need to panic, just close the Cart or Checkout window, go to the bottom of the GMSC Membership Payments page and click the View Cart button.
The Shopping Cart will appear, check the contents carefully, and click Proceed to Checkout when you are ready.
