March Hare 12-car rally

On Wednesday 24th March, Glenrothes Motor Sport Club will organise a Clubsport 12 car navigational rally starting and finishing at Royal Tavern, corner of Main St and Strathore Rd, Thornton Fife.

Easy navigation suitable for novices on their first event, plus auld geezers that have forgotten how to read a map.

Open to members of Glenrothes MSC, Edinburgh University Motorsports Club, 55 Car Club , 750, Stonehaven and District Motor Club, Dunfermline Car Club

All competitors must produce a valid club membership card at signing on. GMSC membership arrangements can be made on the night. No Competition Licence is required.

Entry fee only £10, standard insurance £16.28

• Scrutineering starts at 19:00 hrs. • Any competitor not signed on by 19:30 hrs. may be excluded. • Competitor Briefing will be held at 19:35 hrs. • First car starts at 19:46 hrs.

The map required is OS Landranger 1:50,000, sheet: 58 B2 (2007), “Perth & Alloa”

Note that the rally HQ is not on sheet 58, the map used for the even, but is easy to find. Go to maps.google.co.uk and type in "thornton, fife" and the big pointer will be right at the door.
