Kingdom Stages 2007
GMSC's Kingdom Stages took place at Crail Airfield on Saturday 3rd November.
John and Jim Rintoul continued their domination of the Crial aerodrome, winning what was a tighter-than-tight event. Tom Morris took his 6R4 to second place, with Bob Grant coming third.
This rally was a round of the Hytorc Scottish Tarmack Championship, Beatson's Scottish Borders Championship, the Brick & Steel 205 Ecosse Challenge, and the Palmerston Furniture 5 of Clubs Championship.
There was a full 100 car entry, plus 8 reserves, and the field included the winners from the last three years - John Rintoul (2006), John Marshall (2005) and Tom Morris (2004), pursued by a bunch who were eager to join that club, including Bob Grant, Jamie Smith and Martin Elsdon.
And apart from that, the Hytorc Scottish Tarmack Championship was settled between with Tracey Louise Muir and Ricky Wheeler. Despite a problematic morning, it was Aberdonian Muir who went home with the title in her pocket.
After the end of the main event, three lucky marshals were treated to a run in a front-running car. Others picked up great prizes that included a karting night and some great framed prints of Colin McRae courtesy of RALLY-PHOTO.COM
