In general, you can visit this website without telling us who you are or giving any information about yourself.
The only time we collect information from you is if you apply for GMSC club membership, or if you enter one of the rallies or other events that we run, so that we can process your membership card, or process your entry and contact you about that entry.

In this instance, we must ask for your name, address, e-mail address and, if you enter a motorsport event, details of the car in which you will be competing and the name and contact details of your next of kin or other person to be contacted in case of an emergency.

If you place an order through this website, you will be directed to a secure PayPal payments page. When you pay on the secure PayPal page, you can use an existing PayPal acount, or you can open a new PayPal account, or you can pay with a credit or debit card without requiring a PayPal account at all. Whichever option you choose, GMSC has no access to you payment card details.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your mebership applications and event entries, and second, to provide you with the best possible service. The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name address phone number email address order history.

We will never collect sensitive information about you.

If you notice any errors in your membership card, please contact the membership secretary - click "about" in the menu at the top of the page, then click "Contact Details".

If you notice any errors in your event entry, please contact the entries secretary of that event - see the Regulations for that event, available from the event page - or one of the other club officers listed on the Contacts page - click "about" in the menu at the top of the page, then click "Contact Details".

Use of personal information
If you choose to give us personal information, such as your name, address and e-mail address, we may use this information to inform you of forthcoming events, news of club members activities, results of events, and reminders to pay annual club membership fees.
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters and other emails about GMSC club activities and other motorsport events, simply reply to one of our emails with "unsubscribe" in the subject.
We do not rent, sell or give customer-identifying information to other companies.

When you order goods through this website, the order form may ask you to provide a phone number. We will only use this phone number to ask you questions about an order or to let you know for example, that the payment is incorrect or there is an additional shipping charge. We will not call you to try and sell you other products.

When you place an order we will also ask for your e-mail address, so we can send e-mails to you confirming your orders.
